EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Live 4 Help (L4H) Foundation started journey in October’2020. Primary focus during the initial period was to use social network to connect with friends, colleagues, neighbours to propagate our ideas / initiatives for better good to the society at large and unite those who would like to devote their time and efforts in bringing divergent views but for common noble causes.
L4H Foundation Team emphasized to take up Education, Plantation and Healthcare as priority focus areas for initial years.
Through regular virtual meetings and via social media platforms, L4H Foundation appraised progress, plans and brainstorm improvement opportunities with friends and well-wishers across globe. In the virtual meeting L4H Foundation invites few students to share their family background, obstacles, needs and aspirations. Such open forum enables them to interact and get know other aspiring students as well as point of views from L4H Foundation members.

In following few paragraphs, please find a summary of our accomplishment till date.
1. Education
In the middle of Covid, during 2021, L4H Foundation was successful to identify 15 needy students. Selection of students was based on academic records, family background and financial status. Unfortunately, a few of the selected students either lost their both parents or with single parent, having at the verge of dropping out of school due to financial hardship. The type of support ranges from school fee, semester fees, books, stationaries, tuition fees, transport expenses.
Currently Foundation is supporting education of 28 needy students from six states of India (Delhi, West Bengal, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar), of which 57% (16) are girls.
L4H Foundation launched a pilot project by selecting one of the villages in Medinipur district of West Bengal to provide free offline coaching to 10 needy students, who can’t afford their tuition fees, by engaging a local volunteer. We vision expanding this to other regions in coming years.
L4H Foundation also arranged free online coaching, mentoring, counselling a few students.
2. Plantation
L4H Foundation took initiative for the Mangrove Plantation in Sundarbans area of West Bengal. The basic objective of this drive is to revive mangroves which were destroyed during devastating cyclone, Amphan. Mangroves are critical for coastal protection and act as a natural defence against storm surges, coastal erosion, and flooding. Mangrove also helps in minimizing greenhouse effect (soaks CO2 in large degree).
Approximately 3000 mangrove saplings have been planted in 2021 and 2022. The entire plantation area has been fenced to protect the plants from cattle. L4H Foundation is committed to maintain the plants for 3 years to ensure sustainability of plants. We have witnessed nice growth of these saplings and most of the plants reached 6 – 8 ft height.
3. Health Care
L4H Foundation organized two medical camps in remote villages in 2022. The basic objectives of these medical camps had been to provide free medical tests including preliminary cancer screening test to underprivileged people and create general healthcare awareness. Total 225 adults benefited through these camps which is supported by Erbe Medical India Pvt. Ltd. through CSR funding.
4. Cancer Awareness
L4H Foundation organized Cancer Awareness Session in villages of West Bengal. The session was facilitated by Dr. Shyamsundar Mondal, retired ex. HOD, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, Kolkata. The basic objective of the session is to create cancer awareness among school children and rural people. This program immensely helped them to recognize the early signs and symptoms of cancer, thus enabling them to seek treatment at an early stage.
5. Other Social Works
L4H Foundation always looks for opportunities to extend help to underprivileged people in all possible ways. Every Year L4H Foundation distributes blankets during winter season to migrant daily labours, construction workers and villagers. In last three years, L4H Foundation is privileged to support more than 300 people through these initiatives.

Let us take a pledge together for giving something back to society. L4H Foundation took an oath to be stewards of donors’ funds and deploy the same in the most deserving causes in a transparent manner and would follow through and be accountable to bring desirable results.
Nobody has ever become poor by giving and helping.
